Have you seen how upset some of the families (and lawyers) of the soldiers involved are by what they deem as excessive demonization of the soldiers? They are saying that W is out of touch with what soldiers go through in combat.
I think that is a troubling development!
I think the Left is trying to get Bush to appear to not be sufficiently backing up the troops. They know that will cause Bush trouble with his base.

Heck, yeah, the parents are upset and they should be.... the actions of their foolish, irresponsible children reflect badly on their parenting skills or the lack thereof. They've been exposed and they are howling about it, and they're giving you a window into how they raised those selfish, indulged children by making excuses for their behavior. Someone is out of touch alright but it isn't President Bush.
