There's a big difference between Catholics and Catholicism, particularly as practiced in the US. Vatican II, which was written by and for RCC elitists, has very little significance to the majority of Sunday mass goers and even less for the Chritmas and Easter crowd.

Methinks that you're better with words than to paint everybody with the same brush, unless, of course, that was your intent.

People have a hard time understanding that the largest Church in the world has many factions with competeing agenda's. And that heretical views creep in from time to time in various parts of the Church.
