Not my town, but if the townspeople were smart I can guarantee you that the town council would pass a no noise resolution in a hurry. Next thing you know the women will be getting their driver's license with a picture of them in their burkas.

if you passed a noise resolution the polish church bells would have to stop too.

theres a lot of religious noise in that town and the main issue seems to be that the new one is going to be arabic. if thats peoples issues, then they should say so. in the articles ive read on this they are all avoiding directly saying that or talking too much about the noise because the whole bell thing make that point a bit hypocritical.

ive heard the call to prayer over loudspeakers before and ill say its probably less intrusive than the bells. what it is, though, is kinda spooky.
