My grown daughter asked me to look at these pictures and explain what it meant.I had not looked before out of sadness,I knew the implications.
I am aware of the double standards,but I know this.Our active duty military is very angry at the people who abused the prisoners.They do not excuse it,they hate it.

When I first saw the photos I thought those brave men *must* have been tortured, but this is the very first I've read of how heinous it really was.
