Bush-Cheney '04 Launches Arizona's Viva Bush Coalition

Arlington, VA - As part of its week-long Cinco de Mayo celebrations, Bush-Cheney '04 announced today its Arizona Viva Bush Coalition. Similar events will follow in St. Paul, MN, and Los Angeles, CA. In addition, Bush volunteers will hold voter registration drives in at least 30 Cinco de Mayo events in eight states.

The launch of the Viva Bush Coalition in Arizona featured former U.S. Treasurer Rosario Marín, Bush-Cheney '04 Regional Chair John Sanchez, and Bush-Cheney '04 Arizona Hispanic Chair Rubén Alvarez.

"I am honored to be here to highlight the President's impressive record of achievement with the Hispanic community and to contrast his positive agenda with the policies of John Kerry that are out of touch with Latino values," said Alvarez.

The Arizona Viva Bush Coalition will be tasked with recruiting and energizing Bush supporters across the state and serving as messengers of the President's positive agenda.

"Because of the historic No Child Left Behind Act the President signed into law, Hispanic children are going to better schools here in Arizona and across the nation," said Marín, who touted President Bush's record on education.

"We are going to work hard to make sure that Hispanics play a key role in delivering Arizona again to President Bush in November," added Sanchez.

Bush-Cheney '04 Hispanic teams are already in place in 30 states and Puerto Rico.

Has anyone thought about NEW MEXICO, where Spanish is an official language? That state's gonna be important, and we're leading by a fraction of a point right now. Bush lost in 2000 by less than 400 votes.

Bush is hell bent on irritating his base.

If he looses in November, which I doubt, he'll only have Rove to blame.

Can you imagine the shame of loosing to Kerry?
