Wow you must have some stories to tell about Disneyland history. Ever thought of writing a book?
Our family history and its part in history is a very rich story indeed...that should be told. My grandmother was one of the singers who sang the anthem at the opening of the golden gate bridge for example...who when she passed away left her fortune to UCSF which became the seed that built the Neo Natal Intensive Care Wing there....there is tons to remember...and some I have tried to forget...
I have boxes of letters my grandpa wrote my grandmother...as she was always traveling...singing...she was an opera singer.
My most cherished letter is written on the back of a vaudville playbill from early playland...before it was playland it used to be quite barabary...On the playbill are the likes of Mae West, WC Fields etc...
On the back of it is my grandfather describing his first airplane ride in a bi-plane over the ocean beach area...
Memory lane....sigh
