"Sorry, I just don't see it. You need to have Americans willing to kill other Americans to have a civil war. Where is the evidence of that? ...We are talking about apocalyptic scenarios and this is just all so much foolishness...." The wide-spread belief that a civil war cannot happen is probably one of the necessary conditions for civil war.
Democrats in Kalifornia got their way with last year's budget and a $15 billion dollar bond has been passed to pay for the over-spending. That spending rate continues today. Liberals cannot imagine that it is possible to spend their way into civil war.
Just what would be happening in Kalifornia without the $15 billion dollar bond issue? That is what will be happening twelve months from now. Either mind-boggling dislocations due to spending cuts or massive flight of employers and employees due to tax increases.
It is a giant game of economic "chicken" and so far the liberals have not deviated from their spending plans one inch.

LOL! You do realize, don't you, that if we did have this imaginary civil war y'all are conjuring up out of nothing that the liberals would win. Don't you? I am starting to get the impression that a lot of you seem downright excited about this idea because you think the Red states will win. Guess what, they won't. The Blue states have more money, more people, and a lot more cannon fodder than the Red states.
They have most or all the cities, and would even have a huge subversive contingent right in the midst of many of the Reddest of Red States. Salt Lake City, Denver, Austin, Houston, Indianapolis, Atlanta, Miami, Charlotte, Memphis, St Louis. Wanna take a wild guess which side they'd be on?
This debate is so absurdist it's not even funny. We are not going to have a civil war. We are not even close to having a civil war. And if we do have a Civil War the liberals and their immigrant cannon fodder are gonna win just like they did the first time.....

I shouldn't have said "most or all the cities"; I should've said "most, if not all, the cities" would be Blue.
