Former CIA Official: U.S. May Fall Like USSR

Herb Meyer is calling for a holy war to save western civilization. But the former Reagan CIA official has a problem: Most people dont know what it is he wants to save.
"Weve forgotten what Western civilization is," Meyer told NewsMax.com. "We no longer teach it in the schools. If you come to the schools where I live and ask a group of high school students what is Western Civilization? Theyll tell you its slavery, the oppression of women and we dont recycle.
But Western Civilization is not made up of our faults; all civilizations have those. Meyer contends, Its the rule of law, the idea of individual and economic rights, scientific inquiry - this is important stuff and our failure to teach our children what Western Civilization is may be the worst mistake weve ever made."
Meyer was not one just to ride into the sunset after his government service with Ronald Reagan. During the 1980s he served as Special Assistant to the Director of Central Intelligence, William J. Casey. Meyer played a key role in helping Ronald Reagan and Bill Casey win the cold war. Meyer was also one of the first analysts to predict the breakup of the Soveit empire.
Now, this former CIA analyst says its the U.S. and the West that may just crackup.
In fact, he has just produced a new video, The Siege of Western Civilization," that makes his point, and explains to Americans what we need to save.
Meyer also had a distinguished career in journalism. He's a former associate editor of Fortune, author of several books and dozens of published essays about politics and economics.
Meyer has put together the case sometimes in shocking detail - the continuing assault on the very underpinnings of the civilization which has produced the concepts of religious and individual freedom, economic liberty, and the rule of law which have guided mankind for centuries.
This foundation of civilization led to a flowering of art and literature, monumental scientific discoveries and a living standard unmatched in all history.
But now Meyer is worried Americans today are willing to lose it all because they have no idea of how it all came about.
He argues that there has been an assault against Western civilization.
This attack he sees as three pronged:
A new civil war fought against the existence of any moral code governing conduct
A war against the kind of population growth required to sustain a nations economy and the welfare of its elderly people
An attack by a brand of Islam which seeks nothing less than to subjugate the Western world. This video is available on dvd or cassette, and is one every high school student in America and their parents should see.
Meyer tackles all three threats and explains what has to be done if Western Civilization and its incredible benefits are not to be vanquished.
"People want to be talked to seriously about the issues that confront us," Meyer explained. "They want to be talked to about the war, about our culture and about our economy. What they need more than anything else, is a way to pull it together, to connect the dots so that they have a context for following the news and for understanding whats happening out there, and thats what we tried to do in the video: To give them that context, to connect the dots, for them."
Population Suicide
You dont hear much about it, but the Western world and Japan are in the process of committing population suicide and America is not far behind.
Current birthrates in England, France, Germany, Italy, Spain and in Japan are far below what its required for a society to reproduce itself and sustain a healthy economy.
Russia is a population basket case. To reproduce itself, the birthrate must be 2.1 children per family. In Europe its almost half that, and in the U.S. its now 2.0 and headed down. In a mere 20 years, the population of some European nations and Japan will have dropped by an astonishing 30 percent.
"We seem to have forgotten what every primitive society understands: you need children," Meyer told NewsMax.com.
"They are a blessing obviously, but from a practical point of view they are consumers which an economy needs and then they grow up and become taxpayers. If you dont have a big enough tax base you simply cannot generate the wealth to take care of the older people.
"And thats whats happening in Western Civilization today. We simply dont have enough working age people to support the retired people.
"Its the worst in Europe and Japan and we are obviously on the same trajectory. We can see whats happening in Europe and Japan, so we have some time to deal with it."
Meyer says a second civil war is being waged against the culture of Western Civilization by hordes of neo-barbarians.
No Rules
"Back in the 1960s we just decided to throw away the rule book. We said You dont need rules anymore; everybody do whatever you want. If it feels good, do it.' That was a terrible mistake and were paying a price for it now. We expanded rights but no one wants to take responsibilities. You have to match the two. If youre going to have more rights, you have to have more responsibility, but we want the rights without the responsibility."
And there is a worldwide war of terrorism against Western Civilization being waged by the fanatical wing of Islam.
Radical Islam Wants Us Gone
While noting that there are millions of good and decent Muslims in the world Meyer warns that "There is within Islam a radical streak and when the radicals are in charge, Islam attacks Western Civilization.
"It did that in the 7th century, it did again in the 15th and 16th centuries, and its doing it now in the 21st century. What we call the War on Terror, is in fact radical Islams third attack on Western Civilization. Terrorism is the tactic they are using."
Meyer insists, "We have to go back and understand just what it is we are fighting for. And when you understand Western Civilization then you have a very clear sense of who the enemy is, what they are attacking and why its worth defending."

If George W. Bush wins the 2004, I will place a $$ wager that John Kerry will challenge the election in the court system (ala 2000) and the Senate democRATS will cause a constitutional crisis, and W will be forced to take extreme measures - because we are at WAR with Islaminazi's (as you correctly state), and the survival of the republic will be at stake.
Correct. Al Gore let that genie out of the bottle. His challenge to the election results will remain as one of the worst precedents ever in America. The peaceful transition of power was, for the first time, challenged, held in limbo and not allowed to occur normally, that is what happens in third-world elections. Kerry has already said he will challenge all close precincts and play the disenfranchisment race card.

Depends. Is Canada still one nation? That's our best case scenario, long term. Worst case is Yugoslavia.

There are a lot of ways to "win" and the most promising is to continue to hold and build control of the Federal government as conservatives are doing. A [totally implausible] civil war would be a disaster for the conservative cause. I would bet on it.
They almost always are. For better or for worse, the radicals of an era near always win when violent internecine conflict breaks out. The conservatives are by nature favorable to tradition and to establishment; war destroys both more effectively than any other means.

With regards to your three counter arguments
1.the overall population increases but it includes a lot more foriegn born folks & they have a far higher birthrate than native born citizens.
2.Not really, what is taught is that if you disagree with the tripe from the DNC your a neo-nazi.
3.They already have touched the U.S. & they are already here converting prison thugs to the religeon of peace, breeding large families while folks who are native born trend towards having only one child, those new immigrants especially the muslims all have thre own agenda & it is a toss up between socialist utopia or sharia hell on earth.

AntiGuv said: "There are a lot of ways to "win" and the most promising is to continue
to hold and build control of the Federal government as conservatives are doing."
Even the Republicans, who have a numerical majority of both houses and the Presidency, are near deadlock on many matters, allowing the impact of prior liberal administrations to continue. "Conservatives" are even less powerful.
I not only recognize that Bush is far superior to Gore ( or Kerry ) but I realize that our electorate today just barely elected him. That is a sad commentary on the state of the union. There isn't any room remaining for leftward political drift without bringing on the collapse of our nation. That is, the collapse of any aspect of our nation worth saving.
The idea that Bush would sign the renewal of a law which could result in the imprisonment of an American for having a bayonet lug on a rifle is disheartening to say the least.

Folks slam me and my book etc for being an alarmist, a fear monger, etc. Actually, I see a CW2 or American Dirty War as one of the very worst tragedies which could happen to this country short of nuclear war or a massive gen. modified smallpox outbreak. No sane person would welcome such an event. My goal is to warn America about the storm clouds on the horizon. The Titanic is heading into an ice field at full speed ahead, and the band plays on.

Deuteronomy Ch. 6
Now these are the commandments, the statutes, and the judgments, which the LORD your God commanded to teach you, that ye might do them in the land whither ye go to possess it:
That thou mightest fear the LORD thy God, to keep all his statutes and his commandments, which I command thee, thou, and thy son, and thy son's son, all the days of thy life; and that thy days may be prolonged.
Hear therefore, O Israel, and observe to do it; that it may be well with thee, and that ye may increase mightily, as the LORD God of thy fathers hath promised thee, in the land that floweth with milk and honey.
Hear, O Israel: The LORD our God is one LORD:
And thou shalt love the LORD thy God with all thine heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy might.
And these words, which I command thee this day, shall be in thine heart:
And thou shalt teach them diligently unto thy children, and shalt talk of them when thou sittest in thine house, and when thou walkest by the way, and when thou liest down, and when thou risest up.
And thou shalt bind them for a sign upon thine hand, and they shall be as frontlets between thine eyes.
And thou shalt write them upon the posts of thy house, and on thy gates.
And it shall be, when the LORD thy God shall have brought thee into the land which he sware unto thy fathers, to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob, to give thee great and goodly cities, which thou buildedst not,
And houses full of all good things, which thou filledst not, and wells digged, which thou diggedst not, vineyards and olive trees, which thou plantedst not; when thou shalt have eaten and be full;
Then beware lest thou forget the LORD, which brought thee forth out of the land of Egypt, from the house of bondage.
Thou shalt fear the LORD thy God, and serve him, and shalt swear by his name.
Ye shall not go after other gods, of the gods of the people which are round about you;
(For the LORD thy God is a jealous God among you) lest the anger of the LORD thy God be kindled against thee, and destroy thee from off the face of the earth.
Ye shall not tempt the LORD your God, as ye tempted him in Massah.
Ye shall diligently keep the commandments of the LORD your God, and his testimonies, and his statutes, which he hath commanded thee.
And thou shalt do that which is right and good in the sight of the LORD: that it may be well with thee, and that thou mayest go in and possess the good land which the LORD sware unto thy fathers,
To cast out all thine enemies from before thee, as the LORD hath spoken. And when thy son asketh thee in time to come, saying, What mean the testimonies, and the statutes, and the judgments, which the LORD our God hath commanded you?
Then thou shalt say unto thy son, We were Pharaoh's bondmen in Egypt; and the LORD brought us out of Egypt with a mighty hand:
And the LORD shewed signs and wonders, great and sore, upon Egypt, upon Pharaoh, and upon all his household, before our eyes:
And he brought us out from thence, that he might bring us in, to give us the land which he sware unto our fathers.
And the LORD commanded us to do all these statutes, to fear the LORD our God, for our good always, that he might preserve us alive, as it is at this day.
And it shall be our righteousness, if we observe to do all these commandments before the LORD our God, as he hath commanded us.
Is it too hard to see our America has also left the God who can deliver us?

Say what you will about the author but remember that this is not the same country, in many respects, as it was before Lyndon Johnson created his 'Great Society' back in 1964. Many norms have deteriorated since that time. Now it is OK if Sally has two daddies and no mommy. Now it is OK to destroy a human life before he/she sees the light of day. Now it is OK if a tree frog has precedent over a highrise building. Now it is OK for leaders to lie to the public as long as the lie is about sex.
I agree with the author that this country is in serious trouble when, after 222 years, we are still trying to determine what the meaning of 'is' is........

Lately, I have been having serious thoughts, wondering if somehow we could break up the union and form two or three countries. I would gladly live in one of those interior states where the old values were respected. It seems that this country is not the country I grew up in and loved. I think that is what this thread is about,,what is becoming of us, it seems about half the people in this country would see us destroyed by islamofascists so they could sit in political power again. I just feel so sad about it. I want a new country, a brand new one.
