The toon family of fiends had to tell him to say it.
What a self-inflicted wound. Kinda like the time the maroon, Kerry, fired a mortar at rocks, and got a boo-boo on his arm from the shrapnel. Removed with forceps, no anesthesia, no IV, no lost limbs, no next-of-kin notification.
Just a band-aid.
And a Purple Heart.

HERE IT IS NOW: "...Despite calls for Rumsfeld, who reportedly knew about the prisoner abuses in January, to quit, Kerry refused to say whether he should step down over this controversy.
He criticized Rumsfeld for appearing before a Congressional committee and failing to tell members about the photographs. He also said it was clear that the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Gen. Richard Meyers had not even read an executive summary of a military report on the abuses.
Delaware Sen. Joseph Biden, a Democrat, said someone had to take responsibility for the abuse and if blame went all the way to Rumsfeld's office, he should quit.
"This is a disaster of significant proportions," he said. "It calls for accountability and quickly."

No problem. Some of us have seen Blazing Saddles 100+ times, we have to lift up our younger brothers when they struggle...

The US Navy did haul out of the dustbin of history the rank of "Commodore" which is a one-star Admiral (equal to Brigadier General) for a few years, but went back to Rear Admiral (lower half) again. The term 'Commodore' is still used as an 'honorific' title to describe a senior Captain in charge of a larger group of surface ships under his command...

It was a pic (doctored, I believe) of Rumsfeld giving the one-fingered salute at one of his Pentagon Briefings.

An ADMITTED WAR CRIMINAL running for the POTUS and HE has the audacity to call for the SECDEF to resign because some bozos at the bottom of the chain of command put Iraqi prisoners in women's underwear??
I am "WAITING" for the main stream media to point this out!! No I am not holding my breath.

Hanoi John said he committed attrocities. sounds equal.I think what Rumsfeld (or the press) should do is ask Kerry how these Iraqi photos compare to the attrocities he claims to have committed. (1) do they show any dead bodies - I don't think so, but Kerry claims he committed killing attrocities, tell us about it John (2) do they show women and children - I don't think so, just a bunch of men without clothes on, tell us about that too John, (3) is anyone bragging about the Iraqi photos - I don't think so, but you, Dear John, you bragged about your Vietnam attrocities, in front of a Senate hearing.
In fact, John, you have claimed that you photographed your battlefield exploits. So let's see them. Show us all the dead children and burned homes you claimed responsibility for. Describe to us the half-dead VC whom you took 50 rounds to finish off.
Yes, John, tell us some of those war stories you feel qualify you to be President of the United States.

Nova on PBS last night did a pretty supportive report on Rummy's war fare techiques.
Thanks for the report.
I managed to stay awake for about the first 20-30 minutes...but was getting the
feeling that that episode was leading up to a finding of "Bush, Cheney, and Rumsfeld:
Guilty of Gross Hubris".

No, they really didn't. They said it's a work in progress, with each phase more successful than the last. And that it may not be the best solution for every application.
I thought it was decently well rounded. Some criticism, but overall in awe of the power of the US military.

I don't want to hear my President apologizing to this bunch of murdering scum.
For Rummy's Senate visit, he should put a blowup of the charred bodies hanging on the bridge next to a blowup of the prisoners. Nuff said. And ask Sen. Kerrey what HE thinks, too.
