Who in their right mind would ever consider serving in Kerry's cabinet after this? BTW, has anyone asked Kerry if he called for anyone's resignation over the shake n' bake cookout where 83 Americans on US soil were charcoal broiled in Waco?
To: All
I'll probably get flamed for this, but I wish Rummy would quietly step down after the first Bush term.

I seem to recall reading something somewhere about "aid and comfort to the enemy" and how it was a bad thing.
Of course, J.F'n Kerry is apparently VERY familiar with that sort of thing. Maybe it's just a tic or something.

I was thinking this morning that if Kerry had taken a position of -- hey, we all had tough decisions to make in the sixties, he (Bush) made his and I made mine, lets let end the war it's been 35 years for Pete's sake, then he could have stayed a war hero and we wouldn't be able to use it against him at all. Instead, by talking about it every day, he is like Garry Hartpence, taunting the media to catch him. He got everybody riled up and wanting to blow his cheesy medals out of the water. He has nobody to blame but himself.

Yes, i know it was the Clinton era cuts, but he seems not to understand that air power and small, mobile forces can't pacify a country of 25 million.
The truth is we need a bigger army. That is plainly obvious to me. The way we are rekying on the guard and contractors and the long deployments of the combat units is just not sustainable.

Commodore is a "name-only" rank, whereby a Captain (O-6) serves in a one-star billet. He is called "Commodore", but is still wearing the bird on his collar. I never really 'got' the whole Rear Admiral (lower half) thing. Awkward & confusing. You'd think that tradition would demand a return to the old practice of calling a Navy one-star a Commodore, Flag officer -- anything but RAdm (lower half)!

Dick Morris also said if Hillary joins the ticket the rats base will come out 110%. Literally (voter fraud). If she wants the VP nod, Kerry has to take her. She carries risks, however. The RAT base might be energized, but so will the right. It also might jeopardize her re-election in 2006 and, more importantly, her presidential run in 2008. When the ticket goes down, she could get blamed... unlikely, but possible.
I am beginning to worry that the pluses for PIAPS joining the ticket outweigh the negatives. BJ could stir up a lot of problems for Bush this fall if she is on the ticket. Problem is, if the ticket wins, she's stuck in a miserable job for eight years. I guess Lurch could die in office, though.

I'm confused. Is this old news, or new news? All I've seen on this thread is something he said last September.
