Her vomit-inducing attempts to deflect blame, avoid the responsibilities of command, and overall ass-saving Bravo Sierra on TV is symptomatic of the OTHER Clinton-induced disease...that of avoiding, through any means, accountability.
I've talked to officers in my command. They are, one and all, outraged that a high-ranking officer is conducting herself in such a manner. They know, full well, what message is being sent down the chain by her self-serving babyfacing. It's that Flag Officers will pay "lip service" to the ideals of the service, but when the time comes to actually LIVE by them, they'll run for the tall grass and leave the "E"'s holding the bag. Our officers (including the C.O.) were livid at what she did to their ability to command respect from the men under them.
30 years ago, Richard Nixon (who, although he may NOT have been personally responsible for the conduct of his surrogates) rsigned rather than bring dishonor to his office. He chose, in the end, to do the right thing for the country. Fast forward to Slick...he denied, lied, blamed others, dissembled, reversed himself, and fought tooth-and-nail to hold onto that office and title he loved so much more than the nation he was SUPPOSED to be serving. Obviously, his example was seen, and heeded.
