That's it. I'm done. The America I knew and love is gone.

An America where cruel vengeance is extracted against prisoners is an immoral America. I couldn't love a country based on such low standards. I prefer a country who follows a different, higher, Authority. I am glad Bush did what he did. Those soldiers' behavior disgusted me and made me ashamed.

Ya just know there are a few loon-toon cretins here who are just dying to call you a "troll" for what you just wrote!

Very sad indeed!

That's not what I'm saying and you know it. Why must he go on TV and give our enemies more ammunition. This had nothing to do with apologizing to a group of people who have a different sense of right and wrong than we do. This is about making US feel better as a nation. and I have news for the people who decided this was the "right" thing to do. It will bite us many times over. The good people in the world know these are isoloated incidents made by idiots with poor judgement. I do not need the President to apolgize on MY behalf. If it makes YOU feel better, fine. I already know my country is a good country. There is nothing Bush can say that will make those people understand that.

Really. I'm not entirely sure I am. These people want to kill us and innocent Arabs. If humiliating them is the only way to get information that may stop the murder of countless innocent people, then, so be it. And if you're following this, that's what the people in charge are saying, that the word came down to do what was necessary to get these people to talk. There's always more to the story. I think Bush's numerous explanations and apologies to the Arab world are getting to be counterproductive.
