In this day and age it is getting harder and harder to fugure out what is real and what is not. Could have been photoshopped? Hard to tell sometimes.

The grammar is awfully correct on those "Iraqi made" signs.
Note the one sign gets the word Christians in...
It's a made-for-TV-moment.

Bogus Story from the Guardian: "This torture started at the very top" I've seen a photo of a young American soldier with two Iraqi boys. There is no nakedness or torture, but it is no less nasty for that. The boys are holding a cardboard sign. They and the soldier are smiling and doing a thumbs up. He is pointing at the cardboard sign, on which he's written: "Lcpl Boudreaux killed my Dad. then he knocked up my sister!" Imagine the scene: Lance Corporal Boudreaux, a soldier on a liberating, civilising mission, asks the natives to pose for a "memento". He gives them the sign to hold. What lie did he tell them about its message? "Iraq is liberated", or "Mission accomplished"? And who, in this scene, is the more civilised?
Is this the picture this author is referring to?

Sign on right is upside down! LOL
These people had help.
The color pics of the prisoners are large format full color from digital, so you're talking organizers with internet and technology access, and money. These are not Westerners that made these signs though (we don't say "force peoples")- but they are people working inside Iraq to influence public opinion both in Iraq and in America. The press- newswires and TV networks etc, have become a dangerous influence on world events since what they show are usually out of context events or stuff that's magnified disproportionately. Everything is played to the camera, like this demonstration.

One of the protestors printed out his propaganda sign backwards.
