I watched it last night and was brought to tears listening to some of them. I was surprised to see how many of them that were still alive after this many years.
LOL Kerry really messed up thinking he could spin the guys as drunks.

It really got to me too, especially when one of the vets referred to two suicides among his fellow vets. He ascribed the suicides to their mistreatment at the hands of those who, following the Kerry line about the vets, thought that they were war criminals.

Also, another vet described how Kerry had, in effect, charged him with being a war criminal in front of his wife, his children, his parents, his friends and neighbors, and everyone he will ever meet.

I'm afraid to say that Kerry has successfully spun this as GOP dirty tricks and the leftstream media has bought into it. Certainly, the Kerry-backing history prof Doug Brinkley, who pretends to not be a shill for Kerry, has dismissed the O'Neill and Swift Boat Vets as politically motivated, whereas those who back Kerry have only noble motives.
