Perhaps I'm jaded, but The Simpsons just stopped being funny to me 3 or 4 years ago. It seemed like every other episode was some Lisa crusade, and it just got old.

Although the "Lisa crusade" type episodes are my least favorite. She actually used the phrase "our animal equals". I've pretty much disregarded her since then.

The Simpsons just stopped being funny to me 3 or 4 years ago. It seemed like every other episode was some Lisa crusade, and it just got old. I think its time to put this show out to pasture, but I think FOX is shooting for 20 seasons.
One good thing about the Simpsons is that the quality of the animation has really improved. In syndication the old episodes looked like they were drawn by 3 year olds.
