The article didn't say that the men SAID they were working in fields nearby. It said they WERE working in fields nearby when they were arrested.

If you could read you would know as much about the circumstances as I do. I guess reading comprehension is becoming a lost art.

I think it odd in the extreme that either of you would think that his kidnappers would be hoeing weeds while he had escaped and would presumably bring US Marines back to where he had been held. His kidnappers may have been dumb, but no one is that dumb.
