I am glad someone else thinks this too.

Liberals are unpatriotic. They are unpatriotic by the very nature of what they believe. What we call "liberalism" in this country is rightly termed "socialism" elsewhere. If one looks at socialist platforms in other countries, they are approximate to liberal platforms here. Liberals, socialists - they define themselves by a lack of loyalty to a nation and more by a supposed loyalty to humanity as a whole. That is why even otherwise "honest" people on the left support the UN and cannot possibly do wrong: after all, it DOES "intend" to help promote peace between mankind, right?

Socialists support socialism, and modern socialism, by its very nature, supports "world" above country. That sounds like a noble purpose at first, until we realize that all we have in life are our family, our friends, our neighbors, and, ultimately, our freedom. The concerns of the socialists ask us to compromise on the importance of these. The scope of government they require to accomplish what they believe is necessary by its very nature violates them.

These people are often actively unpatriotic. The whole reason they claim we are saying that they are is because they know they are and they think we won't publically call them on it. The fact that they actually get away with this scares me. What country can succeed when an active part of it is openly treasonous and wants that country to fail in all of its undertaking? How is it that those who are unpatriotic can corner and intimidate us into silence when it comes to calling them on it? Are we afraid of being labeled "fascists", being called ugly names, and that so-called "moderates" will be pushed away from us? We can back up what we say with facts, they cannot. All they can do is call us names.

We have a lot to do if we are going to save this country. We don't have to outright say that they are unpatriotic, but we certainly should point out instances where they are and, when we are questioned as to whether we think they have a lack of patriotism, we ought to answer in the affirmative. We win this culture war through being vocal and being honest. It is all we can do.

Well, first you have to understand what "patriotism" means, and its context within the confines of the USA. What is America? Look to God first, then look to the founding of our country.

You might say that any non-religious person is automatically unpatriotic. The Fathers clearly brought forth God into our country, and in fact our "freedom" and way of life isn't even possible without Him. In my opinion.

As an atheist, am I unpatriotic, then? Well, I don't consider myself to be. Although I don't believe in God, I do believe that the natural swing of things is in parallel with what the religious believe, therefore our goals for the country are quite the same. I believe in evil, for want of a hell.

To lead an "immoral" life, to seek to destroy the basic structures of our country, like marriage, to discourage us from protecting our citizens, and to encourage the death of the very young, old, and sick (abortion and euthanasia) are all indeed unpatriotic, and I'll stand and fight with and for those who also think so.

God bless America.

"No Republican has called the Democrats unpatriotic."

From my own experience, that is not correct. I am a Republican, and I call Democrats unpatriotic all the time.

It's the truth. Why do we suffer them?

I don't think the Weather Underground itself is still active BUT as you see the people are still alive and some have every intention of reviving the movement. A lot of people have lingering resentments, gripes, etc. As you know, human beings don't easily forget things anyway.
