16 members of Ansar al-Islam have been arrested in Turkey, suspected for planning an attack against the NATO summit President George W. Bush is scheduled to attend in June.

Police in Turkey have uncovered plans of a terror attack against the NATO meeting in Istanbul June 27 and 28.

According to the police, 16 militant Muslims were arrested during an operation in the northern province Bursa. The 16 are allegedly members of Ansar al-Islam, an organization founded by Norway-based Mullah Krekar.

Krekar claims he is no longer the leader of the group.

According to the Turkish CNN, the police seized weapons, explosives, and 4000 CDs with a training manual allegedly compiled by Al-Qaeda leader Osama bin Laden.

The NATO summit will mark the formal entry of Romania, Bulgaria, Latvia, Estonia, Lithuania, Slovenia and Slovakia into the alliance.

Do they REALLY want to risk making President Bush a martyr?

That's not their consideration. It probably hasn't crossed their minds.

Their goal is the destruction of the Western world and retreat back to 7th century Islam.
