Welcome back Gail. We missed you last week but I know you guys had a great time camping. We used to camp a lot and loved every minute of it. I miss it. However, living on a lake is like being on vacation every day!

Missed your picture of the camping coffee pot you post every day. The Mayor kept us in coffee in the mean time with his purple cup!We even had donuts this weekend, but I don't care what wolfie says, I didn't eat a one! Promise.
:-)

"However, living on a lake is like being on vacation every day!"

Know exactly what you mean, Lakeside, bring fortunate enough to spend our first 2 1/2 years here in a house on the 95-acre lake in the middle of town.

There was a wall of French doors and tall windows in the great room overlooking the lake right down the hill, and it was a panorama of wonderful sights from dawn to dark.

Down the slope, I hung a hammock between two tall trees, and watched the flocks of geese and ducks parading their well-disciplined familes - and had two resident egrets who came to shore every late afternoon to forage.
Named them Ichabod Crane, and the very wise Herodotus.

It was truly a time of "Be still, and know that I am God" after years of turmoil and testing.
