My son is in Najak . He is catching up on his sleep after two weeks on the road there. Still trying to get over the hour and a half fire fight with ambushers. They took a few casulaties but had to kill more than a hundred of the enemy. Don't think that wsas reported by the press. Good news. He was the first in his unit to get a new uparmored hummer. He is skeptical but hope it works. While in central Iraq they took the doors off the old one(no protection anyway) so they could show their guns, get a clear view of things, and get out of the truck in a hurray. The new one seems to have bullet proof glass and has more armor all around.

Good for him, getting home in one piece is always what is important.
I'm stuck in place. Don't have armor on my SUV and can't get a convoy that will accept me. Been riding the roads for nearly 6 months without armor or weapons. But I don't go into town, either.
