We used to dodge mortars while walking uphill both ways to the DFAC....in knee deep dust...in 190* sun at 0630...and we were THANKFUL to do it.

PPE? That was for sissies.

Yeah, well over here in Baghdad we dodge 'em in 195 degree sun AND six feet of snow on the ground at the same time, with golfball sized hail falling on us!

And we LIKE it that way!

LOL... I've been to Baghdad but you've never been to Balad, Tikirt, Fallujah, Ramadi, Qaiim, Al Asad, Taji....Baghdad is the only one with a BK and all the other amenities, like booze. Oh yeah, sister, I know the deal.

Did I mention that we ride camel spiders when we're in a hurry? Yes, they are that big.
