There has already been many good posts on this subject so I'll try to only present fresh material.
First I took almost half an hour calculating how many people were at the Mayday for Marriage rally at Safeco field in Seattle.
Each section on the first level on average is 16 seats wide by 40 deep. At ground level there were about 30 full sections. I did not count the food concourse, the second level or the third level or the left and right field entrances. All these areas had people in them. I came up with almost 25000 just on the ground level alone.
I read they only counted people who came through turnstiles but they also had a few wide gates open and those people were not counted. The total was most likely in the 30k range. My wife and I passed maybe 500 protesters at the entrance at 11AM. There may have been more than that as during Dr. Dobsons speech they (the heterophobes) had some pretty impressive war-drums going. It was hard to hear the speakers.
Also we were about 15 seats away from the gay infiltrators along the third base line. There was at no point more than a hundred of them. One guy(?) looked like a Mardigras reveler on crack. One young woman had on a wedding veil as a mock paster wedded her to her girlfriend in front of all of us. Another guy enjoyed flipping his rainbow colored penis pillow into the air where all could see it. I am very glad my wife an I decided not to bring our children.
The police did not remove them because the rally leadership/speakers indicated that since we are loving-tolerant Christians that it was OK for them to stay. They did finally give up when the singing started(it was also hot out)
I could hear them disrupting up in the food concourse several times and they were also going gangbusters with their drums out on the street.
I hope that we as Christians don't spend too much time trying to convert these people. They know what they are doing is wrong. They don't care! We have informed them of the good news of Christ and they can either accept or reject the message. From now on though their actions are a declaration of war on our culture and we have a right and a DUTY to shut these perverts down NOW! PERIOD!
We outnumbered them 30 to 1. Shut up and get back in the closet.
Like all other major struggles in the history of the US this will progress beyond words to violence. It is starting now in Canada. It has been made 'hate-speech' to preach on certain parts of the bible. They announced this at the rally. You can go to jail for telling gays they are sinning.
The day will come when a goon with a gun and a warrant will knock on my door to take my kids away because I said something wrong.
On that day the full aspects of the 2nd Amendment will come into play on my front porch.
We better stand together now under the 1st...

No surprise the media over estimated the numbers of the gay-rights / homosexual protesters. Some reports said there was 2500 - 3000. We came through the screeming homosexual guantlet at about 11:55 am. I'd say it was no more than a thousand.
Agree with you on having to take action NOW. I was thinking today about what my grandfathers and great grandfathers would have done if the homomsexuals acted like they did yesterday in the presence of their wives and children. It wouldn't have been pretty!! We've got to think about how the destructive behavior of the homosexuals is damaging the present and future decency of our culture.

I was all set to comment on the first post, saying that I hoped that the organization did not pay in advance for the services they received from the stadium, because the lapse in "security" was an outrage.
Then I read what you said above, and I groaned.

Bingo.
There's a time to turn the other cheek, and there's a time to keep your pearls in your pocket.
And being "harmless as a dove" does not mean being wise as a dove!
Argh...

PS: I'm wondering if perhaps it was a "tactical decision" to allow the vile disruptors to stay, for the benefit of any practitioners of "hardcore churchianity" that might be in attendance?
I'm talking about the sort that attends church several times a week, goes to home prayer meetings the rest of the week, and lives in a fog of la la happytime religiosity, totally oblivious to the lions at the gate.
I guess I can see the possiblity that someone may have made the decision to allow those lunatics to stay, so that the "eternal baby Christians" could see up close and personal exactly what it is that's squaring off against them.
