And after the speech, all of Europe, looking confused and bewildered asked, "so what you're saying is we need to be more appeasing?"

"...you might see oil go from $40 to $80 or $90 [a barrel] and that wouldn't simply affect us. It would bring China and Japan and all those countries into a pretty terrible state."
Somebody better start drilling operations in Alaska soon.

When TSHTF in Europe, the carnage is going to be unbelieveable. Unlike here, where 80-100 million of us have lots of guns, and can and will use them proficiently, Europe has been mostly disarmed and is vulnerable. It'll be coming to our streets, too, much as the Muslim Beltway Shooters did, in the fall of '02. Buy more ammo.

I'll make no secret of my love for European travel. As a student, I'm blessed with lots of time to go when I can, and at times when the costs to get there are supremely cheap. While my friends jet off to the Caribbean on spring break, I'm in Amsterdam or Paris, and usually end up spending less than they do.
When I come back, the question is always the same. "Why do you always go to Europe on vacation?" And my response is always the same.
I want to see it while I can.
France will likely be the first to "fall." Not because of sheer population, no, the Dutch have got the French beat on that one. But simply because in France, the society is becoming so split that once they reach the breaking point, the whole system will collapse.
I've seen a Muslim jeer at a woman for looking too trashy, and I've seen the French police beat the crap out of that very same person for simply making that kind of remark. (It was in the metro - some young Muslim made the remark to a woman, and was promptly thrown up against the wall by the two transit cops who were about 20 feet down the platform and went over to "correct" him.)
So as I tell everyone else, you'd better see Europe now. Because while retirees from the US like spending time in Europe today, 40 years from now when I'm ready to retire, it may not be possible as we know it today.

I'm very glad to see this posted. It should be a wake-up
call for us, but will it be? I believe that it's already
too late for most of Europe.

"The U.S.," he said, has done a "pretty good job of assimilating" its Muslim population Uh, no we haven't. They harbored 19 a**holes who murdered 3000 people (and it could've been 20,000 with a little more bad luck). There's just more of us than them....right now.

Not just drilling operations but R&D efforts into getting the hybrid vehicles into some kind of useful form the ones on the market now aren't really all that great for a family with kids as primary transport . They are even worse for use on farms & ranchs or other types of commercial use .
If "W" were to get the major auto makers in this country together & tell them straight out that they can do this nation as great a service as was done in WWII then hold a press conference announcing a call for a crash R&D program by them it would have one hell of an effect on the economy & on auto buying public.

As someone who has also spent many vacations in Europe - particularly in France - that's what I tell people also... see Europe ASAP before it's too late. Sad...
