That sort of thing has been going on here in Colorado for years. I always kinda liked the theory that it's evil government scientists testing for nuclear fallout from the 40's. 50's, 60's or testing their new medical technology. An animal with it's face down in the grass feeding all day is going to pick up whatever poisons are in the grass with it's lips, and tongue first, it will also concentrate poisons and genetic damage in it's reproductive system, but who the heck knows. I have a hunting buddy with a 40,000 acre spread down to south east Colorado. He's got a bunch of cattle and all his neighbors have a bunch too. I'll give him a call today or tonight and find out if there's been anything fishy going on lately. It'll give me an excuse to invite myself down for a prairie dog shoot. I'll post what he has to say later on this thread.
Oh and by the way for those who are squeamish about shooting prairie dogs, in an ecosystem out of balance, shooting prairie dogs that have infested (prairie dogs run amok, pasture land looking like moon scape) grazing land is more humane than poisoning which can kill other beneficial critters and predators.

" prairie dogs, "
Same thing with Armadillos on ranchland in Florida.
Only you have to spotlight them at night and use a shotgun.

I look forward to your report.
Thanks.
I agree about prarie dogs. They are deadly to running horses and cattle.

Why wouldn't these government agents simply purchase these cows as they arrive at the cattle auctions every year? Quite frankly your theory is silly.

Sorta crazy, they could just buy the cow from the rancher. Why would such testing need to be secret? Most would welcome it.
