This guy's one of my favorites. He's a Melkite (Eastern Rite Catholic) Christian whose grandparents were, I'm told, dhimmis. If you haven't read Islam Unveiled yet, do so immediately. You will not be disappointed.

The idea of a fighting christian offends the effete peaceniks that have infested many denominations of christianity.

The University of the Incarnate Word, a Christian school in San Antonio, Texas, has scrapped its nickname, "Crusaders," and the accompanying mascot. Cowards. Why don't they call themselves Dhimmis -- or maybe Dummies.

But ultimately the Crusader name goes down the memory hole at Incarnate Word in an effort to be "culturally and spiritually sensitive" and to avoid litigation. Apparently the "Word of God" takes second stage to the wants of the "word needy".
Go figure, a religious foundation dictating it's own uselessness next to the true omnipotent power of Government and the people who support it.

has scrapped its nickname, "Crusaders," and the accompanying mascot.Actually, the term "Crusader" became Odius to Moslems because of the putting to the Sword EVERY man, woman and child in Jerusalem. Even for the Medieval World, it was considered "The WAR CRIME of the AGE".
Saladin, a KURD, spent his entire life in a struggle to right that wrong, profiting nothing from his successful EJECTION of those 'Crusaders' from Jerusalem.
