About 2 miles from my office, there is a regional police training center.
A couple of years ago, some cops from Raleigh, NC (an hour away), lost a H&K MP-5, in its plastic case, on the way to training.
It fell out of the back of the truck!
You wanna know the kicker?
SOMEONE ACTUALLY TURNED THE MP-5 IN!
I would have turned it in, esp. if it was marked as someone's property...
Besides, I can afford to keep an SMG in ammo!
Boy, I don't if I could resist the temptation if I found something like that...naaahh, I would just turn it in significantly more used than when they lost it.
