That's not always the case. There are several semi-autos I know of that will fire if the trigger is depressed when the slide or bolt goes forward on a live round.

That's not always the case. There are several semi-autos I know of that will fire if the trigger is depressed when the slide or bolt goes forward on a live round. The DEA ful-auto Glock 18 machine pistols come to mind. Just imagine if a magazine had been in place and the fumbling fed had sprayed 17 rounds into the smiling rows of kiddies. Or had the full-capacity magazine in place and cut loose with all 33 shots.
