AFP has this ...
Kerry says Iraq at "moment of truth"
WASHINGTON (AFP) - Democratic presidential candidate John Kerry (news - web sites), saying the "moment of truth" has arrived in Iraq (news - web sites), pressed his call to bring in NATO (news - web sites) and the United Nations (news - web sites) to keep the country from descending into chaos.
In a speech prepared for delivery at a midwestern US college, Kerry spoke of "mistakes" in Iraq but appeared intent on avoiding sharp criticism of President George W. Bush (news - web sites), who last May 1 declared major combat operations over.
"This anniversary is not a time to shout. It is not a time for blame," Kerry said in the address to be delivered at Westminster College, in Fulton, Missouri.
"It is a time for a new direction in Iraq and for America to work together so that once again this nation leads in a way that brings the world to us and with us in our efforts," the Massachusetts senator said.
Kerry said the United States needed "to put pride aside to build a stable Iraq" by bringing in NATO troops to restore order and training Iraqi security forces while a UN high commissioner supervises the political and economic reconstruction.
"This moment in Iraq is a moment of truth, not just for this administration, the country, the Iraqi people, but for the world," the Democrat said. "This may be our last chance to get this right."
Kerry was speaking four days after Vice President Dick Cheney (news - web sites) addressed students and faculty at Westminster College and delivered a sharp attack on the Democrat as weak on defense and unfit to be commander-in-chief.
The president of the college, where Winston Churchill delivered his famous "iron curtain" speech in 1946 that heralded the Cold War, complained Cheney was "Kerry-bashing" and invited the senator to respond.

It amazes me how much Kerry can say, and at the same time be saying nothing at all.

We need to put pride aside This from the same man who could not bring himself to admit to falling on the ski slope.

Add Hillary's recent interview with the Arab International press, which she initially denied until the reporter admitted to interviewing her.

If you try to follow and understand what he is saying, you realize he is making no sense at all. A bunch of words flow out of his mouth, but they have no context. His speeches are pure gobbledygook.

He meant that Iraq is far from his "horse stables" and would find it difficult to fit in his afternoon recreation on the estate.

John Kerry-Heinz is a master at making glittering generalities that have no meaning.

Q: Senator Kerry, Do you prefer grape or strawberry jam on your PB&J sandwiches?
A: Well, that's an interesting question. Let me tell you about the first time I can remember having a PB&J. It was a dark and stormy night..< insert dribble>......................And that's why George Bush is failing in Iraq.

Kerry and the Democreeps are still P!ssed at GWB landing on the USS Abraham Lincoln last year! This is not about Iraq or the ongoing war at all according to them - They absolutely cannot stand that Bush did that last year.

So KERRY gets this speech because the Pres. of Westminster thought CHENEY's speech slammed Kerry, since we KNOW Kerry is going to slam Bush, will the Pres. of Westminster let Pres. Bush come speak next?

The fact that Kerry even has to do a rebuttal is very telling in itself
Those DNC internal polling numbers must not be looking good
