What exactly happened to the American Spectator? What used to be a decent political magazine has become a hotbed of crackpotism. It went bankrupt, was run for a while by George Gildor, and is now run again by Emmit Tyrell. I find the writing in it to be excellent and more upbeat than the only other mag I subscribe to, National Review.
