A few weeks ago, just after the news broke about the brutal murder of the four civilian contractors in Iraq, one of my coworkers, a shameless liberal, came into the breakroom, almost dancing with glee. He came over to me and started into me about how he was right about Iraq being a deathtrap and that I didn't know what I was talking about when I tried to explain that this was a limited area in Central Iraq, where Saddam's followers are primarily concentrated.

I came within a heartbeat of putting my fist in his smug face, but instead I stood up and walked out of the room. A few minutes later, our store manager, who'd been in the breakroom at the time of our confrontation, came up to me, thanked me for my restraint, and assured me that he had an intense conversation with my antagonist, explaining to him that one of the women who was in the breakroom with us had a husband in Iraq as a civilian contractor and that she didn't know whether or not one of the slain men was her husband.

I haven't had a run-in with this guy since, but after losing a good friend in Iraq last week, he'd better not say anything to me.

Stonewall,
I'm very sorry to hear of the loss of your friend.

Luckily, most of my co-workers are conservatives like myself. There may be liberals here as well, but they know better than to get in my face like that. I don't have much in the way of restraint when it comes to this kind of stuff.

It's good you were able to restrain yourself. Punching someone in the workplace can be a career limiting move. Sounds like you have a great manager.

For the life of me I cannot understand some of these people. How can they cheer for the people that would just as soon kill them? Ignorance is all I can think of.

Again, please accept my condolences for the loss of your friend.

So sorry to hear of the loss of your friend. I'm impressed by your restraint. Had I been there I would probably be in jail now for assault. I hope whatever the manager said to him caused the antagonist to think long and hard. Yeah I know, I'm probably dreaming.

As far as the above article goes. The whole thing is mind boggling. But this part: "socialist, feminist political party" is just over the top. They are not satisfied with being "socialist's". Nooo, that's not enough. They have to throw in the "feminist" as well. Talk about hitting rock bottom.

You have more restraint than I but then I am over 30 years your senior and have had plenty of time to harbor lots and lots of hostility towards these people. I also wasn't an Eagle Scout..............
