I agree. I grew up without it, and no doubt, i would have been diagnosed ADHD. Too many parents haven't done the research and beleive the doctors that see them for 5 minutes and write a scrip. that's dumb.
I have 4 duaghters, 3 are fine, but one has bigtime ADHD. I know the meds have saved her life. We did over a years rresearch/alt methods before starting low dosage drugs. Without it, she would be DEAD. I thank the shrinks/Pharmo companies for their help.

I'm glad your daughter is doing well now. My criticism certainly wasn't directed toward those with a real illness, just those who take advantage of the fear of whatever illness to scare people and thereby profit.

Without it, she would be DEADI don't think that we are talking about the same "disease". I'm glad your child was helped, really. But millions are harmed by this industry and the parents who go along.

My only surviving child has it. We made damn certain that Ritalin wasn't on the table.
We went your route: massive research before opting for a low-level med, dialed down to only what was needed. The Boy starts parochial school in the fall.
We're dealing mostly with The Sheep, who obey what anyone with credentials tells them to do. And with paleo-FReepers who know it all.
