I heard him, too. He said it was shyness. It isn't. I have been researching it for personal reasons. The person who has it has A VERY DIFFICULT life and so do the families.

Right on. I love Rush and am devotely conservative----but if he ridiculed adults with Asbergers, he could not be more wrong. The condition is real and the situation quite sad for people trying to function as best as possible.

I am a professor and my fiancee is a Learning Disabilities specialist at another state university plus has coached adults with asbergers on how to function in their jobs, etc. There is an epidemic of students with asbergers coming down the pike and it is just now hitting college age. Don't believe me? start asking elementary teachers about asberger's incidence in their classes now vs. 10-15 years ago. It is VERY real. These kids, young adults absolutely cannot function socially and it tears them up. State universities are required by law to provide support for this student population and it is really stapping budgets as rthe incidence rises dramatically.

Rush needs to get educated on this one.

as a toxicologist working on fetal chemical exposures I do have hypothesesas to the incidence rise in these neuro alterations.
