Last week, Sean Hannity poo-poo'ed the idea of ADD and claimed it didn't exist. Much of today's diagnosis of ADD may be exaggerated but to dismiss every case is ridiculous.

If that's the case, Mr. Hannity and I need to have a discussion.
It's very easy to poke fun at kids with these disabilities - even though they're not conveniently obvious about it, and aren't in wheelchairs and leg braces.
Hanity does it. Rush does it. Most FReepers do it.

In 95+% of cases it doesn't exist, and when it does, it could a)be avoided and b)be handled through nutrition, parenting, etc.
Harsh, but true...the society is so drugged up it's any wonder it functions. The pipples' priorities in this nation are way out of whack and the children suffer because of it.

You obviously haven't heard Neal Boortz cut up ADD on a regular basis.
Sean went easy.
Boortz' ADD test:
Place your child in a room with an X-box, PS2, GameCube, etc. Come back in two hours. If that child is still there, no ADD. It is simply a matter of behavioral adaptation, i.e. that child's brain needs constant, rapid stimulation to keep focus.

Last week, Sean Hannity poo-poo'ed the idea of ADD and claimed it didn't exist. Boortz did the same yesterday, and debated a doctor who called in about it. I have to agree with you; ADD/ADHD is overly diagnosed, but it is a legitimate disorder.
