"Those hoping to solve the mystery of who leaked the name of CIA operative Valerie Plame...won't find a clear answer in the new book by" Joe Wilson.
In his book "Wilson points to" VP Cheney's "chief of staff, Lewis 'Scooter' Libby, as 'quite possibly the person who exposed my wife's identity.'"
Wilson also claims "that a 'workup' on his background was done by the White House in March 2003 after his public criticism of Iraq policy. 'The other name that has most often been repeated to me...is that of Elliott Abrams.'"
And he still thinks Rove may have done it.
"'The workup on me that turned up the information on Valerie was shared with Karl Rove, who then circulated it in administration and neoconservative circles," Wilson alleges."

Chrissy Mathews has been on a Jihad against Scooter Libby for a long time now. He starts foaming at the mouth every time he mentions the name like this guys is more evil than Karl Rove.

Also, Tenet, knew nothing about Wilson's trip until afterwards. There was nothing in Wilson's report at that time, that was worthy of note.
Of course the Compost and other left wing media outlets are ignoring this reality.

Has it ever been leaked that "Joseph Wilson" is none other than.... Johnny Cash?
To: Grampa Dave
And no other media sources ever report or question Wilson about how/why he was 'leaking' his trips to Senate dems desperate for a way to attack Bush right after the stunning success of the major military operations in liberating Iraq.

Wilson was the real leaker.
Peter King nailed him in an article last year. Wilson probably violate several oaths if he was on a legitimate trip for the CIA.

I know who leaked it. It was Joe Wilson himself with an anonymous e-mail. He sent it to a right leaning reporter, Novak, to cover his trail.
Now, he and his wife can afford a new Jaguar because with his book their combined salaries just went from $150,000 to $1,500,000.

I would not imply that Karl Rove is EVIL.
Perhaps that is not what you meant.
You could have used, "more evil than B & H."

Perhaps that is not what you meant. What I meant is that in Matthew's and the other RATs so called minds Karl Rove is evil. To me, he's a hero.

"'The workup on me that turned up the information on Valerie was shared with Karl Rove, who then circulated it in administration and neoconservative circles," Wilson alleges."Sure it was, Joe. Just like you claimed your trip to Niger was briefed to the VP, right?
Wrong:
Text of CIA Director George Tenet's statement
Excerpt:
Because this report, in our view, did not resolve whether Iraq was or was not seeking uranium from abroad, it was given a normal and wide distribution, but we did not brief it to the President, Vice-President or other senior Administration officials.
~snip~
How does Wilson even know there was a "workup", let alone who it was shared with?
Actually, I hope there was one, as surely he knows his anti-war screeds printed in the likes of The Nation caught the eye of someone--as well they should have.
We freepers knew long ago that the claims his book would "reveal" the "leaker" of his idiotic wife's name was so much BS. Once again, we were correct. This man is such a vile fool.

she listed her CIA cover on a check to Gore that made it publically available.I have been avidly following this story and this is the first I heard about the check to Gore. Link, please?

"Inside the lies that led to War and Betrayed my Wife's CIA Identity." Lie #1., "Wilson investigated and debunked the claim that Saddam Hussein bought yellow-cake uranium in Niger." Wilson did nothing of the sort. He not only didn't investigate anything, he has lied about every aspect of this issue from the beginning. He had NO expertise or background in WMD or nuclear weapons issues, or any business at all, in investigating this issue. He is a partisan plant, with Hillary's (via Foley) fingerprints all over him.
Lie #2., That lies were told by the Bush Administration at all. Funny thing is, the last book in the Bush Bash Bunch wasn't much of a bash at all. Woodward's book actually confirms that Bush DID NOT exaggerate or lie about the then available evidence of WMDs in Iraq. Add to this, more and more direct evidence of the existence of WMDs is being uncovered, in particular as a result of the foiled Jordanian Poison Gas/Bomb plot.
Lie #3, "...and Betrayed my Wife's CIA Identity" In order to betray something, it has to have been secret or confidential in the first place. There are plenty of good reasons to NOT classify Plame as a covert operative, as she worked as a staffer at the time. Plus, Wilson himself was rather loose with his wife's identity in his own web site, a full year before this. Finally, it was more than an open secret that Plame was a CIA employee, among the Washington Press Corps. This was the result of both Plame and Wilson beating their own gums antecedent to the supposed "leak" of her identity. So, exactly WHO betrayed whom?
Fraud is what is going on here. This whole "Tempest in a Teapot" was an afterthought when it was first concocted. Wilson is an also ran. His stale and disproved accusations have no buzz life left in them.

What the heck is that bracelet on Wilson's left wrist? It looks as if he's wearing handcuffs.

That's really the cover - straight from the Drudge Report. Notice the words "A Diplomat's Memoir" on the building fascia in the background. He manages to get ambassador, diplomat, and CIA all on the cover to inflate his and his wife's prestige. Please.
