Why is everyone assuming that these were some peaceful Iraqi civilians that the soldiers decided to torture? Because that's the image the Left and Rather want everyone to see. These are not wayward boys who find themselves in a bad situation.
Our soldiers are facing evil daily and if the tables were turned I'm sure the detainee would probably put a bullet in them rather than talking.

Yes they should protect themselves, but we despised Saddam for this same act. This is what seperates us from al Qaeda and legitimizes our crusade.
