Jared Tumbleson appeared in court Thursday morning on misdemeanor charges of carrying a weapon and criminal trespassing. Reaction is mixed among those who know Jared Tumbleson. He's being held on $35,000 bond while authorities sort out his strange behavior Wednesday night. Tumbleson peacefully surrendered to Little Rock S.W.A.T. officers after they cordoned off sections of Markham and Louisiana where they intersected 2nd Street, as they negotiated a peaceful surrender. Tumbleson had been seen perched atop an office building wearing rappelling gearing, carrying guns and ammunition. Police got a call about Tumbleson and another suspect wearing camouflage trying to check into a downtown hotel before witnesses told police he climbed atop the building. Back in Searcy County, Pastor Gary Mays hadn't heard about the incident, but said he's known tumbleson since he was a kid. "Hes a good kid, he grew up in this community, I knew his dad, I know his brother, he joined the military, was gonna go fight wars, became as far as I know, a Navy S.E.A.L., product probably of a lot of short-circuiting."
