Shreveport Cabbie Beaten (Where's the Hate-Crime charge here, huh????)

A Shreveport, Louisiana, cab driver was badly beaten, and part of the attack was videotaped by a bystander.

Forty-year old Allen Beasley was robbed as he stopped to fill up at a gas station. Witnesses say a young man jumped on the hood of the cab and kicked in the windshield. When three other men began rocking the cab back and forth, witnesses say Beasley got out of the car.

At that point, police say one of the men stole the cabbie's wallet and passed his money around to the group that was standing there.

Beasley chased after the men, and that's when they began beating him with belt buckles and beer bottles, as well as kicking him. At least one of the men then got into an SUV, which Beasley was standing near. Beasley was dragged for a short distance and then landed flat on his side.

Beasley was rushed to an emergency room where he was treated. Robb Hayes of CBS affiliate KSLA reports.

OK - so if a Black (errr...excuse me - African-American) cabbie had been beaten by a gang of white boys, we all know it would be plastered across all media sources as a race-related/hate-crime.

So why is it not portrayed that way when it's a gang of black thugs nearly killing a white guy?

Oh- that's right, it's only a hate crime when it's committed against a minority by a white person/persons.

I put these thugs in the same category as the islamist terrorists - not worthy of breathing the earth's oxygen. I sayhunt them down and hang them....but that's just me.

This article says nothing about anyone's race. Why do you assume the perps were black?

Just watched the video - not one mention of the color of the perpetrators of this crime - they were referred to as "guys," "young men."

Their faces are recognizable. They should be caught, tied, and beaten with bricks over the head, just like beat the cabbie, and it should be televised. Then they should go to prison without parole for 5 to 10 minimum, put 'em in the basement "with the sodomites." Then the boyz in da hood may learn crime is bad.

IF I can be called "white"....... Just about as literally descriptive as the use of the word "Black". Neither race is very close to it's moniker.

And I definately do not consider myself to be a racist - but I refuse to cowtow to the PC police as well.
