Drop in Gas Prices Turns Out to Be a Computer Glitch

BOISE - Idaho AAA says an overnight drop in gas prices was a computer glitch.

The AAA web site showed the price of gasoline in Idaho had dropped 5-cents overnight.

In California, the price of gas dropped 16-cents. That's when AAA managers suspected something was wrong.

AAA spokesman Dave Carlson says he doesn't know what went wrong, but the price of gas is the same on Tuesday as Monday, a record high average in Idaho of $1.94 for regular unleaded.
