"it is clear that these sluts are shamefully attempting to justify what are most likely long histories of promiscuity in a false veil of patriotism..."

Actually, that's not clear at all.

Whatever, the Left often uses that same "veil of patriotism" to both attack the Armed Forces and to undermine our country.

At least these gals are doing something FOR the troops, instead of against them.

They stress safe sex ... how reassuring. I'm sure the AIDS viruses are suitably impressed, as well as all the other STDs out there (many of which are now antibiotic-resistant.)

"there are those who have bombarded this heathen with hellfire and brimstone because of a few photos of scantily clad women posted to amuse our brave soldiers in arms."

We must see these EEEEEVVILLLL photos, to properly Judge their need for Hellfire And Brimstone! Post them at once, this thread is crying out for scantily clad women...that we can Judge, of course...

Ah...Ann-Margret! BTW, the lovely and talented Ann-Margret turned 63 today, 4.28.04!

Something about her being married to the same guy for over 35 years...cool!

Actually, that's not clear at all.

Is not, is too, is not, is too...

Whatever, the Left often uses that same "veil of patriotism" to both attack the Armed Forces and to undermine our country.

If that is true, then the anti-war left and these sluts have something more in common than just poor morals.

At least these gals are doing something FOR the troops

They may be prostituting themselves as some kind of "comp", but they were promiscuous long before the war and they will be long after. This "movement" is just a weak attempt at excusing their poor behavior. Any decent man deserves better than these ho's, certainly our fighting men do.

Thank you for your thoughtful reply. I read your post twice through and appreciated the honesty.

If you have not yet seen 'The Passion of the Christ', I encourage you to. In spite of objections from various critics, it is, based on historical documents from that time (which are not in dispute by any credible academic), an accurate portrayal of the physical torment that Jesus Christ suffered at the hands of the Romans.

Jesus Christ bore all our punishment so that we could live with him forever. He asks only that we confess our sins, acknowledge him as our savior, invite him into our life, and profess him before all men.

What if it's true?

All The Best, and thanks for standing guard while our family sleeps, O.C.

Thanks, O.C. You and I might disagree on some, or maybe a LOT, of things, but rest assured, I and a bunch of others like me will faithfully stand the watch.

None of us, from Barbarian to Puritan, would ever allow harm to come to you or your family or your Liberty if we have the means to prevent it.

Good Night.

Now what does that mean?

It means you are recognized as a civilian.

My mother calls it whoring. What else is it supposed to be called?

The Bible calls it fornication. And says it is an abomination.

Interesting there's no name for the guys partaking of the services

But there is. It's "whoremonger". Also "fornicator".

Think of it as a certificate against a fatal non return.

As a Married and formerly single serviceman, I find this pretty funny. The "Victory Girls" of WWII didn't have the internet.

What I want to know is, how is this verified? Do you need orders? Just an ID card?

More importantly, if I wasn't killed in action, I would certainly be killed by my wife.

There was an informal but highly effective individual version of this back in 1970 when I shipped out for Vietnam.
The, er, contact person then was also a farm girl.
She had the prettiest eyes I have ever seen, same color as the clearest autumn sky.

I think you mean Hedy Lamar. She contributed to the invention of "spread spectrum" communications and was recently awarded a posthumous commendation for this important contribution to the WWII effort. Her first husband in Germany was doing research in this area and she picked up some of the theory and when she came to America she worked with a Hollywood technician to apply that theory to something useful to the US war effort.

An you just thought she was an inside joke for Harvey Korman in "Blazing Saddles." :)

Actually the story says the girls referred to being bussed to Jacksonville, FL are in Southern Georgia (Ft Benning) not California. Call me naive, but this sounds legit - so to speak. ;)
