No one could blame you for casting such a vote. Based upon the final vote tally, Bush and Santorum made a huge blunder when they actively supported Specter. Had they merely said nothing, that would've been [correctly] taken as a vote of no confidence, and Toomey would have won.

They caved to their fear instead of standing up when they had a chance to make a difference. How completely disheartening.

Righto. If Bush had supported Toomey, then Toomey would have won. Hard to criticize Kerry when Bush trumped pro-life with getting elected. Wonder if Bush's pastor will deny him communion?
