I think its a very good possibility that he never was anything more than a placeholder. The man is the worst candidate ever.

I saw him give a speech condemning the removal of steel tariffs (to avoid a trade war) and then answered the first question from a reporter by admitting he wouldn't put them back in place...

The man is insane.

Actually this could be just what the democrats need...

A spectacular open convention. Who will be the nominee?
Played right the drama could hypnotise the US!
Fascinated, people would watch a call, no a plaintive cry, "Hillary, SAVE US!" And she would come in, coronated, and with a rocket boost in the polls--she could win...

certainly, the dems who would normally stay at home this year would dance to the elections in November.

The Democrats should have found a decent man to run, and not some turn coat that threw away his military metals, no matter if he did not throw everything all at once. USA needs a real man to stand up and defend the USA. This is the only country that we have, and we do not need a Jane Fonda turncoat for President. This is demoralizing.

The man is the worst candidate ever.

Kerry is so self-absorbed. He is completely oblivious to his contradictory statements, and the effect on the swing vote (where the election will be won or lost).

Kerry said, "I supported spending 87 billion before I voted against it". Amazingly, Kerry's statement was a boast. He was patting himself on the back. He was proud that he had done that. The airhead did not even comprehend the profound contradictions in his statements and that he was making himself look like an unprincipled fool. He saw no downside to the statement. Kerry tells you a lot about the abysmal state of the Dumbocrat party today.

However, I do think the Dumbocrats have an "October surprise" ready to spring on Bush that they believe will clinch the election for Kerry......no matter how many stupid statements he makes.

This is the problem with all of the Democrat Party and the Republicans are following closely.
The Democrats have no ideas other than their hatred for Bush and that is what America is coming to.
I don't think they will dump Kerry because of all the money they have taken from people and then to turn around and tell those donating they didn't know what they were doing would just be a slap in the face. But stranger things have happened and I am beginning to believe America as a nation has been so dumbed down and uninformed that we may be on our last leg.
The power and leadership in the Democrat Party is in control of the extreme left and they are trying to portray Hillary as a moderate for their salvation.
Unfortunately America no longer has any real 'Statesman" we have puppets who are manipulated by only God knows who.
I really believe we are in dire straights when you look at what both parties have to offer. I do believe Bush tries hard but he is not only fighting terrorist the Democrats are willing to sacrifice America's security for political control and they do not have a clue as to what to do, they just shuck and jive or lie and deceive. America is closer to a dictator than most are willing to believe.

I fear you are right. Just before the nomination or perhaps after, Kerry will bow out and Hitlery will step in and save the Dems.

Then we have problems. I think this is why Bill's book is coming out when it is.
