Damned right. We should have it.
And CSPAN- and HBO, and whatever other channels I'd damn well like to buy. Nothing about Canada bothers me more than it's Stalnist system of cultural regulation.

I agree with them wholheartedly. Why should they care so much that they actually ban the channel? I'm no expert on canadian laws and customs, but what's wrong with people wanting to hear things from a different style/standpoint/channel? It doesn't make much sence if you ask me.

Did you just see that Toronto columnist on O'Reilly? My word, she looked and sounded like she was on thorazine. Proclaimed that she was a socialist, spoke about 50 words a minute, never blinked her eyes. She looked extremely damaged.

The Canadian powers know that Fox News in Canada would be like Rock & Roll in the Soviet Union. Such destabilizing influences must be squelched.

I just gotta laugh. The Canadian media is terrified that another network would expose their dark secret. Canadian conservatives live and thrive in their flyover country.

We should offer statehood to Alberta, Saskatchewan, and Manitoba. Then these three provinces can ger Fox News. The other provinces should join France and watch Al Jazeera.

In the 80s there was a case in Ontario where a man and his wife raped and tourtured her sister and another girl and then dismembered and buried them in cement.
The Canadian courts put a total gag order on the trial and wouldn't allow the TV or papers to print a word about it. They were even taking Buffalo, NY newspapers away from people crossing the border into Canada.
Of course it was stupid, because you could watch Buffalo TV and see all the details of the trial.

I've lived my entire life on the Canadian border and have always loved Canada. I went to college in Montreal in the 70's and wanted to stay there (even submitted an application but young white guys with no particular skills or money weren't on the list for admission).
I'm glad now. While it's still an absolutely beautiful country and while I know that its "Silent Canadian Majority" still exists, I just could not bear the political and social climate over there.
Canada is a window into our future -- unless we change things.
