As for what is wrong with Africa, difficult to answer, but think about this, why do the masses not revolt against these dictators more often? 99% of Africans are poor, but still they are mostly content. Maybe our expectation of Africa is not what Africans want. Even the Soviet empire crumbled when the people wanted a better life, but that will seems to be absent among Africans. Can we draw a parallel to Iraq here, where freedom is being offered up on a plate, and they are just thumbing their noses at it? I just dunno anymore...
