I believe that was the 1984 version (when union leaders told him they were having trouble keeping their guys in line over the medal throwing in the 70s). Or was it the 1996 version? The 2003 version? Well, I'm confused, too.
Being Kerry has told 5 dozen different versions fo the story being confused is to be expected.
But their is one question regarding this matter that Kerry should be asked point blank, live on TV...
Mr. Kerry, regarding the medal throwing incident, in the past you said that you threw someone elses medals and that is not in dispute. But you also said that you didn't throw yours because you wanted to keep them and thus threw your ribbons. But since then you have said that you would have thrown yours but you didn't have time to go home and get them. So which, if either is the truth?
Latest version: In his clenched fist were some of HIS ribbons and some medals belonging to OTHERS which were in the breast pocket of the BDU shirt with his ribbons on it that he had slipped on at his apartment that day.
He was standing before the nation--the entire NATION mind you--trying to WAKE AMERICA UP. It's hard to remember exactly what was in his breast pocket that day...
