According to the WTA official site, Anna's career earnings from playing Tennis is $3,584,662. I am sure she has made as much from endorsements and modelling. She did alright in Tennis.
I rest my case. That doesn't cover the cost of the $5,000,000 house.
OTOH, she's done better playing tennis than I've done as an engineer. *sigh*
