Thanks for your views, Lieutenant. Now go kill them all or join the Peace Corps.
Let's stop kidding ourselves. This mysterious "vast majority of Iraqis who support us" is a lie. When I see teenagers looting destroyed HUMVEES on TV every night, I start to think we should turn the keys back over to the guy we overthrew.

Yes, sir, Lieutenant! Will do! Well said.

I think that television coverage of the war should simply end.
War is a dirty, filthy mess, and you don't win it by dying for your country, you win it by making the other bastard die for his.
Yes, innocent people get killed in war. That is nothing new. If they don't want their homes destroyed, and their families to die, they should do something to stop it. The Iraqis are certainly in a position to do so.
For a parallel in history, if only one German would have sacrificed his life and shot Hitler in time, millions would have been saved.
The ONLY THING that is new since World War II, is that now it is seen in everyone's home.

It doesn't get any better. We are seeing the final collapse of the ability of the central command media to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory.

We need to keep up the e-mails to the Dems and Kerry with caps in the subject line: YOU'RE KILLING OUR TROOPS! Can't hurt and it might help.

we are losing the war of perception with the media and American people. Our enemy has learned that the key to defeating the mighty American military is by swaying public opinion at home and abroad. Thanks to the DNC

I've been doing this and will continue to do so.
But we have a problem.
It is an election year and the Dumbocrats are spewing their filthy, their "smells like Vietnam" and other such junk.
Means that we have to keep speaking about the good that our soldiers are doing - over and over and over.
Fight the good faith. We have to keep doing this right up to the election and even after Pres. Bush is re-elected!!! Just because the election is over, doesn't mean the Dims will stop their palaver of lies.

All of the "discouraging" sensationalist news is the reason that Actor Gary Sinise is underwriting and championing an effort to get attention on the good news that the major networks ignore. The stories are submitted by the troops themselves. Linda Vester highlights the stories on her mid-day show on Fox News; I'm not sure if anyone else picks up these positive stories.
