If they do this then they are idiots. What the Dims should be worrying about at this stage is retaining Senate seats both now and in 2006.
If the Dims were smart, they would get behind Bush now, work to bring the nation together and to defeat Islamofacism and then in 2006 work on strenghtening the party and try to wrest some Senate seats away. They should also, get rid of the rampant negativity plaguing the party. By uniting behind the Pres in the war on terror, they can gain just enough credibility to use for 2006.
Then work on 2008. Problem is, like the communists, the Dims are working on a five year plan that went awry when Gore lost Tennessee, his home state back in 2000.
