Thinking out loud about today's mall threats....

1) Fake threat designed to keep people out of malls and damage the local economy.
2) ‘Test run’ to see how effective the mere threat of a mall attack is. If it works and people stay out of malls expect more threats in the future, all fake.
3) Most people shop in the evening so, if real, expect something to happen after business hours.

I agree with you about this particular threat. I don't have a bad feeling about today. Also, I think you are correct about it being fake. My reason is I don't think they are planning a single incident to make headlines. Grant it they've being doing their sneak attacks on power and causing accidents but I think those too are tests. They know if they do one fairly destructive attack the country will clamp down and they'll will be pretty much prevented from fulfilling their plans. I think when they do it and it will be soon they're going to go for the whole enchilada. That being very nasty simultaneous attacks of various means and we all here have a pretty good idea of what those are.

The thought has crossed my mind that Target stores are always crowded and always have packed parking lots - the name alone is symbolic and puts me a little on edge when we face suicide bombers and who know what other "challenges."Like you said, we all need to be extra observant and cautious about what is around us. Nothing or no one will keep me from getting out and about. Living in fear is one thing - being cautious is another.
