You really have to see this Ad...In one part of it as the ad discusses kerry's failure to vote for certain military weapons they begin to disappear from the ad as the narrator is speaking

It's really powerful and it puts a face on exactly what our troups wouldn't have in Iraq right now if Kerry's votes would have successfully stopped the spending on those programs.

Ping for the Ad!!!!!

I think the democrats are running against the wrong guy. Every day they waste on Cheney elevates Bush.

I agree with that. The President wins on the issue of defense. No question.

A side note that may be of interest. Kerry is making a visit to Cleveland today and was asked (begged is more like it) to take a five minute phone interview with the morning drive time show on the top AM station in town (50K watts). His handlers apparently refused, maybe because the station is one of Clear Channel's, and the refusal was noted and contrasted with Bush's interviews with the station in 2000. So far at least, he and his people seem to be running a listless and accident prone campaign.

Sorry, can't provide you with a link. However, I saw on either FOX or MSNBC (likely FOX) that Cheney's reductions were proposed in the interval following the end of the cold war and maybe after the Gulf war. Anyway, there were reductions in the defense budget since it wasn't needed for opposing the Soviets.
