Because you have no idea of what happened beyond a little snippet on the Drudge Report. Further, this was clearly a strategic decision, not a tactical one. He'd be micro-managing if he was deciding which buildings to storm and which not to storm and what sort of ammunition the Marines were allowed to use. Deciding if a major offensive, involving thousands of men, should be launched or not launched is a decision which, in this situation, properly rests with the Commander-in-Chief.

Ummm.. That is utterly false. The strategic decision is that of whether or not to pacify Fallujah. The tactical decision [which Bush just made] is how to go about accomplishing that...
